You can find cooking lessons for children at Whole Food Market Kensington every third Tuesday of each month.
It is a good way for your children to learn more about healthy and tasty food. Kids en cuisine believes in the importance of learning the benefits of a healthy balanced diet from a very early age. That’s why the company offers cooking classes focused on fruits, vegetables and naturals ingredients.
The classes will allow your children to use various cooking items (whisk, scale, blender…), help them to develop their fine motor skills, senses, and expand their vocabulary. The gastronome in short will try new flavours, textures, and learn through entertainment as it is often a factor for success. Children are invited to work in team, recognize different measurements used in the kitchen, follow instructions in a recipe to ensure to make it successful. For the small Chefs (2-5 years old), the recipe is explained step by step by talking slowly, repeating instructions multiple times and showing the right movements. Your gastronomes will be proud to prepare their own dishes with friends and take them at home with a take-home bag.
The cooking classes are designed to encourage children to practice cutting, spreading, etc... with plastic knifes and ustensils.
The classes start at 4.30PM for 45mins. Please note that it is not a drop off session. Parents or carers have to stay into Whole Food Market Kensington Shop to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea or doing their grocerie shopping without children.
