Charise is a certified health coach and comes from a Filipino family of great cooks. Whilst navigating severe fatigue and depression as a single mum, she was able to heal herself with nutritious food and lifestyle changes; and openly shares how she did it in these cooking workshops.
Each session allows time for discussions where you can expect raw, unfiltered stories and discussions to get to the root cause of bad habits and advice on how to overcome them.
During the cooking activity, expect music and laughter whilst practicing quick and delicious recipes, that are realistic to implement into your busy London life.
Each session ends by cleaning up together and sharing the organic meal you prepared with the other like-minded members of the group.
An optional whatsapp group can be joined to help you keep the momentum going after the workshop.
Workshops are funded by Camden Council and Elfrida Rathbone Camden and hosted by Charise trading under Health Coach Kitchen CIC - a non-profit community interest company.
IMPORTANT: To prevent wastage of precious funding, please do not book unless you are 100% certain you can attend. If circumstances change and you can no longer please cancel your ticket so it can be offered to those on the waiting list.
Frequently asked questions
A Health Coach studies how the body works, common diseases and how to support them naturally through nutrition, fitness and mindset coaching. The main part of the course is focused on nutrition. Charise graduated as a health coach from College of Naturopathic Medicine in Kings Cross in 2022.
Raised by her Filipino family, flavour is priority in every recipe! Her older brother became a head chef in his early 20s (in other words, he is VERY good) and taught her everything she knows. More importantly, she cooked herself better whilst broke, depressed and fatigued!
Recipes are mostly plant based to encourage participants to reduce meat intake which is linked to poor digestive health and other diseases and illnesses. We occasionally use eggs, and focus on plant based foods that are high in protein and delicious.
All recipes are gluten and dairy free. However we do occasionally use other allergens such as nuts. Please email healthcoachkitchen@outlook.com to let Charise know of your allergy and attendance date - she will do her best to avoid your allergens.
Unfortunately there is no parking available.
This venue is used as a college for special needs Mon-Thu. It has a large kitchen, however food preparation will be done in the adjoining classroom.
