Coping with Anxiety - 16/04/2026, 9.30am to 2pm
Overview
Target audience: Primary & Secondary
This training will enable staff to run a 10-week anxiety intervention for students in school. Subjects focus on recognising emotions and the physical early warning signs associated with them. Attendees will develop visual and therapeutic strategies and work towards building a toolkit and begin to understand how everyday activities and stimulus affects how they feel. This will enable the student to self-regulate and manage their anxiety within the school environment and at home. Students will begin to learn sensory strategies, self-talk strategies and problem-solving skills to enable life-long anxiety management.
