This session of coping with cuts will discuss the real relationship between funding/contract income and outcomes and the tensions between organisational, individual and commissioning outcomes and how we balance these in a context of reducing resources.
Fiona Jamieson (The Robertson Trust) will share learning from local, regional and national collaborative working and Keith Wimbles (Voluntary Action Fund) will challenge the orthodoxy of outcomes and argue for a more exploratory approach to help us better identify what works for individuals and communities.
As well as input from out speakers there will be activities and structured discussions on:
- outcomes: who sets them (and who should?) when do we set them and how do we do it?
- resources: exploring the triangle of tension in funding and procurement- cost, quality and effectiveness.
This event is free and open to both public and third sector colleagues. Remember you don't have to have attended previous events to come along. Coping with Cuts is designed to work as a programme but also for people to drop in to events that are of particular interest.
