Description

The Centre of Postgraduate Medical Research and Education (CoPMRE) is pleased to announce the Fourteenth Annual Symposium, Healthcare Simulation: playing seriously. This symposium is suitable for primary and secondary care doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, Trusts board members, academics and anyone with an interest in medical research and education.

Medical simulation is emerging as a key element in the education of the Healthcare workforce. At this symposium we will:

  • review the context including the need to improve patient safety and training opportunities.
  • explore the evidence base both for improvement in practice and patient outcomes.
  • discuss the local and national challenges and opportunities for enhancing medical simulation in the NHS.
  • hear about developments at Bournemouth University and the local NHS.
