Event description

Description

A very special walking tour celebrating more than a century of women in law enforcement. Learn the incredible history of London's first female police, in the heart of criminal London.

On this tour, we follow the path of an old police beat from the 1930s, exploring the vice-filled dens of St. Giles, Holborn and Covent Garden.

------------------------------------------------

How do you join the Metropolitan Police when you're a militant suffragette?

How do you go about designing the first female police uniform?

And how do you arrest a criminal without handcuffs?!

See London through the eyes of its extraordinary first policewomen, and the notorious female criminals they faced.
