-Monster day. Starting in the morning with a drawing session with lots of inspirational imagery, encouraging the kids to draw creatures that might live in the arcade and creating stories behind them. Going on to creating them in 3D using recycled materials, gum tape, paint and various different art techniques.
About the Artist
Kim is a versatile artist providing classes in various disciplines based around the themes of sustainability and up-cycling. She graduated from BA (Hons) Textile Crafts at the University of Huddersfield with a specialism in Screen Printing, having previous experience of studying Fine Art at the University of Leeds with brief study periods at art institutions in Canterbury, France and Finland. This eclectic background has lead to a versatile approach to working, mixing techniques and styles to create a unique style of workshops.

Minimum numbers apply for courses to run. Payment is due in full at the time of booking., either through the shop or online.Full refunds will be given if the courses cannot take place. If you cannot make the classes for any reason full refunds will be given up to 48 hours before.

Own materials will be required and a list of materials needed will be given on booking a workshop. Some classes will include materials provided which will be indicated.
Refreshments for the day will be provided (tea, coffee, light refreshments), however you can bring your own lunches with you or book a meal/light snack from our very own Blue Rooms Café. They will kindly offer a 20% discount off their full menu range. Orders will be taken at the start of the day.
The nearest car park available to the venue is the multistorey next to Huddersfield bus station. All details are found on the link below. The cost of the car park is £2.00 for 3 hours (all levels) or £4.00 for 10 hours (upper two levels only).
Our venue is also a 2 minute walk from both the main bus and train stations
