About this event

Hobbies • Other

This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create a spiral cage charm to encapsulate a piece(s) of seaglass. By the end of the workshops you'll understand how to use this to create earrings, charms/pendants and a bracelet. You'll also learn how to make a ring too.

During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as basic plier skills, 'p' loops, 'eye' loops and wire wrapping to create a 'cage' to encase your seaglass.

You'll learn using copper and silver plated wires to practise before incorporating this into a link/charm for your choice of jewellery. You can expect to make either x1 bracelet with x1 ring or between 3-6 smaller items of jewellery, such as pendants, earrings or charms. Feel free to bring your own pieces of sea glass from summer trips down the beach if you wish to use these!

Places are limited to twelve people to allow each individual sufficient time with Lindsay to assist and oversee each project.
