🌼 The Robot’s Teapot — Summer Sessions
Welcome to the summer rhythm of The Robot’s Teapot — a gentle, creative playgroup for young children and their grown-ups, nestled in the garden at The Edge, Staveley.
We’re slowing down and softening for summer — no weekly themes, just play led by the children, shaped by the season, and supported by a thoughtful setup of sensory trays, loose parts, and nature’s invitations.
🧠 What to expect
💧 Open-ended, child-led play in the garden🌱 Building, crafting, and movement spaces for all ages🫖 A space where grown-ups are invited to nurture their inner child and relearn how to play
Bring your own picnic, snacks and drinks — we’ll be out in the fresh air together, with shade, mud, flowers and friends.
💛 About our sessions
These playgroups are calm, care-filled, and community-minded. They are designed for children to explore at their own pace — and for grown-ups to feel part of the play too.
We believe everyone deserves the time and space to play — regardless of age — and we warmly welcome older siblings during the holidays. We ask that all visitors help us look after the space and one another.
🪻 Older kids welcome!
We love having older children join us — especially when they bring their own spark to the session. Each week we’ll offer simple crafting, building, and movement areas where they can get stuck in and follow their curiosity.
We ask that older children:• Are kind to younger ones• Respect the shared space• Bring their sense of fun
🧾 Tickets
This session is offered freely and cannot be charged for — but we welcome voluntary contributions in the form of time, materials, skills, or joyful presence.
Please book a space for each child attending (adults don’t need tickets). For safety, we ask that each adult supervises no more than two children, unless additional grown-ups are present. We encourage you to bring your favourite people — friends and family — and make beautiful summer memories.
📍 Getting Here
There is free parking onsite at The Edge, but please park considerately to optimise space — Wednesdays can be busy with other community groups using the venue. If the car park is full, there is also free parking at Morrisons, just a short walk away.
🌼 Please do not park on the grass, as the gardening group works hard every Tuesday to keep the garden looking beautiful for us all to enjoy.
