Event description

Description

The Merlin is producing their first in house production of Twelfth Night this Easter, with local actors on a profit share basis, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary since the Merlin opened, 23rd of April 1969. It seemed fitting to invite the public and community to view the hilarious, farcical comedy of Twelfth night by Shakespeare and celebrate the beautiful venue.

On the 20th and 21st of April 2019 you can guarantee a great evening of entertainment at the Merlin Theatre, where identity as we know it, has been cascaded to simply just being.

Twins separated at sea find themselves having to adapt very quickly within Yorkshire, a strange but vibrant place to be, their popularity and adoration is where one’s status seems to derive from. Banter, pranks and a love triangle sees this comedy full of mischief, relatable woes and the separated twin’s journey in their new life in Yorkshire, as clear as Brexit.

Be sure to book your tickets to avoid disappointment.
