This session we will:

Take a walk along the river bank and learn some ways to identify trees, including taking leaf rubbings.

During sessions, you will:

· Learn new ways to support your own wellbeing whilst caring for nature

· Take Notice of the wildlife around you

· Get Active - this will always be at a gentle pace

· Connect with new people

· Give Back to nature

There is no previous experience or knowledge needed at all - we will be exploring and learning together.

The activities will all be in a small group and will be led by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust staff.

The venue is the Whitley Community Centre, 15 The Avenue, Whitley, Coventry CV3 4BP. The venue has free parking, there are accessible toilets and we will have a break for a hot drink and biscuits. If you would like to bring your lunch with you or extra snacks for yourself, you are more than welcome to do so!

You will also need:

Outdoor shoes like trainers or wellies that you don't mind getting muddy

Clothes suitable for the weather

Sun cream

Attendance is FREE. There will be a session on the 2nd Thursday of each month, so please do look for future dates and book on if you can attend.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I park?

There is plenty of free parking at the Whitley Community Centre.

What refreshments will be there?

There will be free tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit. Bring a cold drink with you. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you to eat during the session if you would like to. We will try and meet people's dietary needs by providing milk alternatives and also gluten free biscuits.

Are there bathroom facilities

Yes! There are bathroom facilities on the ground floor right next to the function room we shall be using.

What do I need to wear/bring with me?

Please make sure you dress for the weather and wear long sleeves and trousers. The paths we use around the river and woodland can get wet and muddy so make sure you have trainers you don't mind getting scruffy, boots or wellies. If you would like to borrow some wellies, please let Rosie know.
