Cor Hutton – Resilience in Life & Business

In 2013, Cor Hutton was given a 5% chance of survival. Her family were told to prepare for her death. Miraculously, doctors managed to save her life but were forced to amputate both her hands and legs to do so. What followed was a journey of not just recovery, but incredible success. From starting an award-winning charity for amputees to climbing Kilimanjaro on prosthetic legs, Cor has consistently shown herself to be one of the UK’s most inspirational people.

The Glasgow Times Scotswoman of the Year (2019) will focus on points in her life which required strength and adaptability, providing insights that the audience will be able to relate to their own lives and businesses. She will discuss growing a grassroots charity to operating at national level, and give unrivalled motivation for success when failure seems like the only option.

Cor Hutton has been seen on Good Morning Britain and The One Show, and has had audiences with both Prince William and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She has lobbied government for impactful change, tirelessly campaigned for important causes and was the first Scot to receive pioneering double hand transplants. This exclusive event will be hosted at the newly opened FYF Charity Hub in Paisley.
