Core Coaching Skills Taster Session: Enabling performance in others

Guildhall Ignite is the only accredited executive and professional training consultancy coaching in and through the performing arts, from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

We combine excellence in coaching and mentoring with the School’s world-class performing arts offer, using experienced specialist coaches to deliver outstanding professional performance training to all those across the arts, education, charity and business sectors.

This includes coach and professional development training with a suite of programmes enabling leaders to respond to the contemporary challenges of today as well as be ready for those of tomorrow.

This introductory taster session will cover:

• Our coaching approach in and through the performing arts and why it works
• An overview of core coaching skills and techniques
• Learning through doing offering you the opportunity to give it a go
• Q&A to learn from and network with your peers
• Coaching resource to continue to embed coaching in your work

This session will be 1.5hours with simple, practical skills that everyone can instantly use to begin to develop, try and witness first-hand the impact of using a coaching approach.

The session will be led by coach and mentor Natasha Zielazinski who has worked in the arts, business and charity sectors. She has developed mentoring and coaching programmes in partnership with the Guildhall School, the Barbican and Aldeburgh Young Musicians, and she is Guildhall Ignite’s EMCC Programme Lead, where she oversees the continued development of coach training programmes. Natasha has an ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching, is a Senior Practitioner with the EMCC, and is experienced in Systems Thinking approaches, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Clean Language and trauma-informed coaching. Natasha is especially interested in leadership coaching for women, and she is currently developing programmes in both the charity and public sector with a social reform agenda and working to support mentoring and coaching work with young artist leaders.

• Core Skills in Coaching & Mentoring for leaders, managers, mentors, teachers and advisors from 5 June

Each course is hybrid and enables an EMCC accredited qualification at Foundation Level.
