Description

Please note : Attendees need to be health practitioners working within a community setting to be eligible to attend

The main aim of the course is to:

•Inform delegates in relation to the national immunisation schedule, policy and guidelines

•Review local and national epidemiology of vaccine preventable disease

•Ensure delegates are aware of local vaccine uptake and the strategies

•To address the impact of low uptake

•Review current issues and challenges in vaccination

•Ensure delegates are aware of the legal requirements relating to immunisation: PGDs, consent and the cold chain

•Review any changes in legislation relating to immunisation

•Ensure that delegates can recognise and manage anaphylaxis and

adverse incidents relating to immunisation

•Review current practice and identify areas for improvement &

development within their public health remit

•Provide a Q & A opportunity for delegates to discuss commonly encountered problems and identify solutions

The course will be delivered by experts working in the field of health protection and public health with current clinical practice in immunisation and vaccination.

Please note : The Core Immunisation & Vaccination course is a 2 day course you will need to attend both days.
