Event description

Description

Are you interested in talking to scientists that work in ocular research?

Are you interested in experiencing a research laboratory and learning about different scientific techniques?

Are you interested in sharing your experiences of having a visual impairment or ocular disorder with researchers?

We are holding an event where scientists and patients can meet and discuss important issues faced by both parties, specifically focusing on the cornea. This one-day event will include a morning of talks from both scientists and patients followed by an afternoon of interactive sessions to highlight how researchers are trying to tackle these issue, as well as smaller focus group sessions.

Due to the nature and location of the event, space is limited and we only have 20 places available so if you would like to attend then please register ASAP. We will have a reserve list so any people who are registered and can no longer attend, please contact us immediately so that your space can be re-allocated.

Due to health and safety restrictions in research laboratories at the Institute, this event is for over 16s only.

After registering we will be contacting individuals directly to see whether they have any specific requirements for the day such as provision for guide dogs, electronic copies of slides and posters etc.

If you would like more info or you cannot attend this event but are interested in future events, please show your interest by contacting us directly for more information.
