Cornwall Landscape Photography Workshop (Beginners)

Do you own a digital SLR camera? Would you like to learn how to use its many features and functions to improve your digital SLR landscape photography? Do you love Cornwall and its stunning coastline? If so, then you've come to the right place.

Based in the beautiful seaside town of St.Ives in Cornwall, professional photographer, Jordan Weeks, runs a Cornwall Landscape Photography Workshop for Beginners, which has been specifically designed to help improve your digital SLR landscape photography. The workshop will guide you through some of the key areas of digital SLR landscape photography - covering topics such as shutter speed, aperture, focal length and composition.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will I learn on this workshop?
This workshop will provide you with a fun, hands-on approach to digital SLR landscape photography. During the workshop, you'll learn about various topics such as shutter speed, aperture, focal length and composition - finding out how each of these play a part in creating a fantastic landscape photograph.

Do I need any previous photography experience?
Previous photography experience is not essential as this course is aimed at beginners.

What photography equipment will I require?
Workshops are based around the features and functions present on most modern digital SLR cameras. With this in mind, you will be required to bring your own digital SLR camera. If you're not sure whether your camera is suitable for this workshop, please get in touch before making your booking. A tripod is highly recommended. If you don't have a tripod and would like to borrow one for the workshop, then please advise at the time of booking.

What level of fitness is required to attend this workshop?

Due to the nature of the workshop, there will be some walking involved, so attendees are required to have a reasonable level of fitness to walk on various terrains (Rocks, Sand, Coast Paths, Streets etc). Attendees should expect to walk anywhere in the region of 1-3 miles during the workshop. Suitable footwear is highly recommended, as is clothing appropriate to the season.

How many people will be on this workshop?
Workshops have a maximum of 3 attendees per workshop. This allows the workshop leader to work more closely with attendees, making sure that they understand the workshop content as much as possible. On occasions, it may be that the workshop is not fully booked, and you will be the only attendee.

Are there any age restrictions for this workshop?
All attendees must be aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be required. Attendees not able to prove that they are 18 or over will not be able to take part in the workshop and will be removed from the list of attendees.

Can I bring a family member or friend?

Unfortunately not, unless of course, they have paid to attend the workshop at the same time as you.

Where does this workshop take place?
This workshop takes place in the seaside town of St.Ives in Cornwall. Attendees are asked to meet at the Tourist Information Centre, located at The Guildhall, Street-An-Pol, St.Ives, TR26 2DS, 10 minutes prior to the advertised workshop start time. If attendees are going to be late, they should notify the workshop leader as soon as possible. The workshop will always start at the advertised time and will not be delayed for any late attendees.

What if the weather is bad?
If the weather takes a turn for the worse and it would be impractical to start or continue the workshop, then the worksop will be cancelled by the workshop leader. If a cancellation is necessary, attendees will be given the opportunity to re-book an alternative workshop date and/or time, where spaces are available. If attendees choose not to re-book, or are unable to attend an alternative workshop date and/or time, then a refund will be issued as folows:

- If the entire workshop has been cancelled, the attendee will receive a full refund.
- If part of the workshop has been cancelled, the attendee will receive a part/pro-rata refund.

What if I need to cancel?
You may request to cancel your place on a workshop at any time up until 72 hours prior to the advertised workshop start time. If you cancel within this time frame, a full refund will be issued. We regret that no refund can be issued if you fail to cancel your place on a workshop with less than 72 hours to go until the advertised workshop start time.

Important Notice: Although extremely unlikely, the event organiser reserves the right to cancel an event at any time. In the event of a cancellation by the event organiser, all fully paid attendees for that event will receive a full refund.
