The Chartered Institute of Public Relations Greater London Group has organised a unique event - #CoronaCon - to address the issues Public Relations practitioners have faced, and are continuing to deal with, during Coronavirus pandemic, and what the future holds.
Set over two days, on the 9 and 16 June, there is an array of exciting expert speakers imparting advice and personal experiences from which members can glean insights. One of the main points is appreciating that each and every member is not alone.
Speakers include:
Andrew Bruce Smith, Director, Escherman
Presentation title: "What does the future hold for the BIG digital platforms (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Amazon) following Coronavirus? And the implications for the PR industry?"
Ronke Lawal, Founder of Ariatu PR
Presentation title: "Future-facing brands, how consumer brands can "COVID-proof" themselves for the future using digital communication tools"
Sarah Waddington, Founder of Astute.Work, Former CIPR President
Presentation title: "What lessons can be learned by senior management from their response to COVID-19 and their crisis comms preparedness? What the #FuturePRoof business needs to do for future challenges"
Sharon O'Dea, Co-founder Lithos Partners
Presentation title: "The future of work in the wake of Covid-19. Social distancing has accelerated moves towards remote working by a decade within just a few weeks. But what happens next? How do we adapt our organisations - and our communications - to a remote-first world"
All proceeds from the ticket sales for this event will be divided between the CIPR's iProvision charity, and The Felix Project.
iProvision is the benevolent fund of the CIPR, which for more than 50 years has been making a meaningful difference to the lives of CIPR members who have fallen on tough times. Its services are needed now more than ever.
The Felix Project is one of London’s three biggest food redistribution charities, which has provided emergency response services for the capital during the Coronavirus crisis.
Attending a CIPR Greater London Group event gains CIPR members 5 CPD points.
