This session seeks to provide an overview of the evolution of purpose of the company. We look at the influence of regulation, statute and ethics and discuss the future of the corporate purpose.
Attendees will gain an insight into opinions on shareholder capitalism how a sense of corporate purpose can be re-defined against a backdrop of environmental, social, and governance priorities.
Kevin has over 15 years’ corporate governance related experience across a variety of industry sectors and academia and has worked in both London and Jersey in businesses with a global presence which include Bupa, Engie and Brevan Howard. He is currently Head of Corporate Governance at Henley & Partners.
Kevin is a Chartered Secretary and holds an MA in Corporate Governance and in 2014 completed a PhD which focused on Corporate Social Responsibility for the Knowledge Intensive Services Sectors. He has taught both Corporate Governance and Business Ethics at undergraduate level since 2015.
Kevin’s primary research interests are Business Ethics, Board Effectiveness, Subsidiary Governance and Governance in Football.
