Raising achievements (includes education, arts and sports)
The aim of the workshop will be to exchange ideas and challenges across local authorities, and for young people and corporate parents to work together on identifying ways to make improvements in their own areas.
Before the event
In preparation for the event, we ask that Local authorities (corporate parents and children in care councils) identify some key achievements and challenges on the topics of the workshop they will be attending. There will be an opportunity to share this with other authorities at the event. We suggest recording this on flip chart paper.

Who are we?
The National Children's Bureau (NCB) is a leading charity that for 50 years has been improving the lives of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable. They work with children and for children, to influence government policy, be a strong voice for young people and practitioners, and provide creative solutions on a range of social issues.
A National Voice (ANV) is a charity run by and for young people in and leaving Care in England aged 5-25; the Board of Trustees are all Care-experienced, and so are some staff. Their main aim is to promote positive changes to the Care system, and to provide a platform for the 67,000 young people in Care in England to have their voices heard.
