Harmony Gardens is a unique community growing space next to Broadwater Farm and Lordship Recreation Ground in the heart of Tottenham, Haringey. This hidden gem is a peaceful haven for wildlife and locals alike, with raised beds for growing organic vegetables, fruit trees, wildflowers and two wildlife ponds.
Corporate volunteer sessions run Tues and Fri, from 11-4pm (times can be adjusted accordingly, and other days may be available on request). Each day is tailored to the needs of the company. There's not only plenty of gardening jobs to do, but also all sorts of DIY jobs depending on level. Volunteers will receive a health and safety briefing at the start and no more that 8 people per team leader. We also have the opportunity to work in the Children's Wildlife Garden, Lordship Rec Spinney and Orchard - a local area of significance for nature conservation (SINC).
There is a small charge per head which all goes to the running costs and further development of the gardens. It works out less per head than a team meal, team building day or even team drinks!
Volunteering at Harmony is not only giving back to the community, it will improve mental health, engage remote team members, and will be an opportunity to learn new skills. 89% of employees say that group volunteering strengthens their bond with collegues, and they experience higher job satisfaction afterwards (Deloitte).

Please bring:
Suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy waterproof footwear (most of the activities will be outdoors in the fresh air)
Tools and gloves will be provided.
Activities may include:
Mulching, weeding, bramble cutting, compost making and harvesting, seed sowing, planting out, watering, litter picking.
