Description

Hello and thanks for your interest in our Study day 2017. The Theme for the day is Occupational Therapists- Bridging the gap between Health and Work.

We have put together a programme of speakers from a variety of clinical and work areas to outline a " how to" in their area of expertise. We hope that all delegates will be able to take away what they learn and implement this in their practice.

The Programme includes:-

9.30am People with Chronic Pain- How to address their work needs by John Tetlow, Lead OT, The Walton Centre, Liverpool.

10.15am Empowering people with Developmental Coordination Disorder and Dyspraxia in the workplace by Rosaline van de weye, Director of Dyspraxia UK.

11.30am Practical tips for Mental Wellness and Resilence at Work by Chirs Morgan, Instructor for Mental Health England.

12.00pm Use of a Sensory profile to improve well being and productivity at work by Tania Barney, UK Director of Sensory Intelligence Consulting.

1.00pm COTSS Work AGM

1.45pm Update on Health and Work Champions by Karin Bishop, Assistant Director Professional Practice & Genevieve Smyth, Professional Advisor.

2.30pm Doug Paulley. Disability Activist in the News- What we can learn from cases he has won

3.15pm The Employment Passport and Occupational Health by Mandy Whalley, Developer of the Employment Passport.

4.15pm COTSS Work- Plans going forward with Gerry Feeley, Chair COTSS Work.

A light lunch of sandwiches ( veg/fish/meat) & fruit is provided. If you have special dietary restrictions, you can let us know on this site when you buy your ticket.

COTSS Work AGM- All members will are welcome to attend the AGM. Non members are welcome to listen, though they may not vote on the proceedings.

Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and hearing loop available.

Your place on the course will only be secured once payment has been received.

In circumstances where a place is funded through the NHS or other organisation, we still require full payment to secure a place and recommend you make a personal payment and reclaim through your employers expenses system.

If you need to cancel your ticket, please apply through eventbrite . Our notice period & refund policy is as follows:-

notice within 4 weeks before the event- refund 100% of fee

notice within 2 weeks before the event- refund 50% of fee

notice within 1 week before the event- refund 25% of fee
