Couch to 10 Miles – Beginner Friendly 4-Week Cycling Programme 🚲
Our Couch to 10 Miles programme is designed for adults who want to grow cycling confidence gradually and enjoyably. Over 4 weeks, you’ll build stamina and skills so that by the end, you can comfortably ride 10 miles — all at a gentle pace.
📅 Dates & times – Millerhill Community Hub
- 🚲 Week 1 – Sat 13 Sept, 14:00–15:00 – gentle introduction, skills and confidence
- 🚲 Week 2 – Sat 20 Sept, 14:00–16:00 – building distance, practising skills (~3–6 miles)
- 🚲 Week 3 – Sat 27 Sept, 14:00–16:00 – building distance (~6–8 miles)
- 🚲 Week 4 – Sat 4 Oct, 14:00–17:00 – longer ride (~10 miles) incorporating all skills learned, heading towards Roslin and back
✨ How it works
- We’ll ride out and back together each week at a relaxed pace. Destinations may be adjusted depending on the group’s needs.
- Participants are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions for the best experience, but let us know in advance if you can’t make a week.
- Booking is essential. Please cancel if you can’t attend so someone else can join.
💡 Extra support
- One-to-one buddy rides, e-bike and cargo bike try-outs, cycle training, and route planning available.
- Need to borrow a bike? Let us know in advance so we can provide one.
