Dr Andrew Murray is an Edinburgh based doctor, who is leading research for the World Golf Foundation looking at “golf and health”.
The week after this talk, he will release the results of a major new study summarising what is known, that has the support of players ambassadors that have won more than 20 major titles between them. Join him on the 29th September for an exclusive preview of the results of this major breakthrough in the understanding of golf and health when he will give a presentation of what the research tells us. Andrew is uniquely qualified to deliver this talk. He is a consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine with the University of Edinburgh, a doctor for some of the world’s best players on the European Tour Golf. He’s worked at tournaments including the Ryder Cup, British Open, Women’s British Open, Senior Open as well as the Olympic , Paralympic and Commonwealth Games.
Andy is actually better known as a runner, with BBC and other documentaries featuring efforts including a 4300km run from John O’Groats to the Sahara.
Andrew is also the medical lead for the Scottish Golf Clinic at FASIC the University of Edinburgh, which helps both amateur and professional players with illness and injuries.
