The Wales Cancer Research Centre, the European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute and Cancer Research UK are coming together to deliver an exciting event targeted at sixth form students to tell you more about careers in cancer research. The event will feature talks from leading female researchers to inspire young women in particular to pursue STEM subjects in Higher Education.

The event will detail what it takes to become a cancer researcher and how we are tackling one of the biggest health problems in the world.

Activities during the evening will include:

• Tours of a cancer research lab
• Escape the Lab puzzle
• 360 video tour
• Opportunities to chat to researchers to find out about their work and get careers advice
• Talks from researchers about their cutting-edge research
• Activities and information stalls

Mae Canolfan Ymchwil Canser Cymru, y Sefydliad Ymchwil Bôn-gelloedd Canser Ewropeaidd a Cancer Research UK yn dod at ei gilydd i gyflwyno digwyddiad cyffrous am fyfyrwyr chweched dosbarth i ddweud mwy wrthych am yrfaoedd mewn ymchwil canser. Bydd y digwyddiad yn cynnwys sgyrsiau gan brif ymchwilwyr benywaidd i ysbrydoli menywod ifanc yn arbennig i ddewis pynciau STEM mewn Addysg Uwch.

Bydd y digwyddiad yn manylu ar beth mae'n cymryd i ddod yn ymchwilydd canser a sut yr ydym yn taclo un o'r problemau iechyd mwyaf yn y byd.
