How would it be to experience life from a non-human perspective? What wisdom might non-human forms have to offer us at this time of change on our planet?

This is an experiential workshop, using Joanna Macy's "Council of All Beings" to explore non-human perspectives on how we can live more sustainably on the Earth. We'll each take on an alternative non-human identity from the natural world, and open up to the insights that the non-human world can offer us about how to face the pressing issues of our times. Having spent some time connecting with the natural world through our imagination, we'll gather as a Council of All Beings to hear the wisdom of the non-human species and landforms that are present. Come prepared to take part in a very different type of Council.

Anna McIvor is chair of Transition Cambridge and a director of the Resilience Web. She has been facilitating occasional "Work that Reconnects" workshops for over 10 years. She originally studied ecology, and has worked in nature conservation and flood risk management.

This workshop is free. It is suitable for adults and older teenagers (16+).

The Council of All Beings is part of a weekend of art and ideas about democracy, "If You're Not at the Table, You're on the Menu". Click HERE for information about the other events
