Event Details

If you are a new member, getting to know your Council, it's role, the Clerk and of course the relationship between your Local Council and the Principal Authorities can seem a little confusing at first. Even experienced members will agree that a refresher course or reminder cannot be underestimated.

This session should provide Councillors with the headstart they need and knowledge to begin the task of representing their communities

 You will:

- Hear about the roles and responsibilities of Parish Councillors

- Hear about the role of The Chairman

- Hear about the role of the Clerk

- Understand the Local Government structure and how Local Councils fit in

Plus there will be ample time for questions and positive interaction!

Registration and refreshments from 1800 HRS.  The course will start promptly at 18:30.  Chargeable parking is available in the Waterside North Car Park, immediately adjacent to Judges Lodgings.
