An organisation’s annual accounts are probably the most visible and discussed record of financial performance. Although the prospect of actually ‘reading’ them may make you want to either scream or fall asleep, it’s a useful skill to have.
In this session, Kevin de-mystifies the language of finance to enable you as HR professionals to contribute more effectively to business performance and talk more easily, and with credibility, to financial colleagues.
He will take us on a whistle-stop tour of a typical set of accounts, highlighting the basic anatomy and key features, including the numbers an organisation is keen for you to know and where to find the numbers they usually aren’t! The focus is on identifying the financial and non-financial information important to you as HR professionals. No prior knowledge of finance is expected but the session will involve some participation!
This event may particularly appeal to our ‘Fellows’ but is open to all HR levels. Space is limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
