About this event

Gender inequality is a key issue in the music industry. It is also a topic of wider concern, affecting women across many sectors. This online event is for all students and graduates who are interested in learning more about gender inequality in the music industry, or who are interested in engaging with creative freelancers and music professionals from the creative sector in the North East.

Date: 20th January 2021, 2pm - 4pm

During this event you will:

• hear a presentation from Vick Bain, previously CEO of BASCA, who will draw on her wide experience and her doctoral research on gender inequality in the music industry

• have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with music creatives about the issues raised by Vick in her presentation.

• have your questions answered by Vick and the music creatives and learn more about their experience as women working in the North East music scene:
