About this Event

This event has been rescheduled from 4th October 2020.

On 1st November 2020, Soul at Saint James presents the Youtube Premiere of 'Courage' featuring Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir in an exciting collaboration with poet and rapper Solomon O.B, weaving together powerful gospel music, poetry and rap.

Register now to receive a free link to the Premiere.

This immersive musical experience will continue the Black Lives Matter conversation which gained momentum in summer 2020 following the unlawful killing of George Floyd and subsequent global mass protest.

Prepare to explore the different textures of Courage through lament - acknowledging both historical events: slavery and colonialism, and the pain and trauma felt today. Holding space for how people are feeling through conversation and generating ideas for action to combat racial injustice.

With brand new content, this free, hour long special is the first production from 'Soul at Saint James' a joint project between St James's Church, Piccadilly, and Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir conceived initially as a live, outdoor event.
