Courageous Conversations Afternoon Session
Fri 2 December 2016, 13:00 – 16:30 GMT
London Women's Leadership Network
The London Leadership Academy, on behalf of London Women's Leadership Network, is delighted to invite you to a half day event on 2nd of December 2016 entitled Courageous Conversations.
This bespoke workshop will focus on your personal power and authority, and provide you with an understanding of the impact you have in challenging situations. This is an engaging, practical and interactive workshop. You will also be able to practice a real life situation, in a safe environment, with trained professionals, enabling you to explore challenging situations through different approaches.
The workshop will be delivered by Practive, who are specialists in the practice of leadership, improving organisational performance by helping leaders at all levels in an organisation to develop their impact, effectiveness and influence. At the heart of their interventions is the belief that leadership happens ‘one conversation at a time’ and therefore the importance of paying attention to the quality of the conversations we have is paramount.
The session will be led by Philippa Williams who is a Director and co-founder of Practive Ltd. Philippa has developed her practice over the last 20 years working in many different organisations at all levels, across the public and private sectors. She has led on many development programmes for the NHS over the past twelve years, including leadership and management development centres as well as bespoke individual programmes for Trusts, team development for Executive teams and individual coaching. Her interest and involvement in work around gender equality started with street theatre as a student. More recently she has coached many senior women leaders, facilitated Action Learning Sets for female GP Leaders and is currently one of the facilitation team for the Diversity, Inclusion, Power and Practice workshops for the NHS LA faculty. Philippa will be supported by Adam Woodroffe, Deborah Asante and Joel Greig.
The event will be held at Skills for Care (London Office), registration & refreshments at 13:00, session start 13:30 to 16:30.
