Join me on this walk introducing the 400-year history of English theatre - we will explore how the Covent Garden red light district became the centre of theatrical life, how monarchs dictated fashion on stage(and behind the scenes) and whether we should be afraid of ghosts haunting London's theatres. We will find out who invented makeup, footlights and scenery, and who is considered a revolutionary of English theatre. On the way, we will stop at the three oldest theatres in London, visit the 'Actor's Church' and the oldest restaurant in London. This entertaining walk will end with a mini-tour of the Royal Opera Ballet House.
