Coventry Refugee & Migrant Centre - Annual General Meeting 2017

The Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre’s (CRMC) annual general meeting is on Tuesday 11th April, at the St Mary’s Guildhall, Bayley Lane, Coventry, CV1 5RN. It starts at 1630 hours.
The event will feature a keynote speeches from Gulwali Passarlay and Rozin Khalil Hanjool.
Gulwali is a former refugee and author of The Lightless Sky; the story of his escape from war at the age of 12.
Rozin left her hometown in Northern Iraq, after her family belonging to the Yazidi minority were targeted by ISIS extremists. In 2015, while still doing her A levels, Rozin started a petition appealing to the UK government to help Yazidi women and girls. It is still live and has gathered over 275,000 signatures. She was the winner of the Young Woman of the Year, for this year's Women on the Move Awards.
Both of their talks will focus on ‘building hope and unity in challenging times.’
Other speakers will include The Lord Mayor of Coventry and the Bishop of Coventry, the Patron of the CRMC. Sabir Zazai, CRMC director will also be speaking.
