Thank You Coventry dinner.
Syrian refugees to thank Coventry with stylish charity dinner
Tickets for the dinner are £20 each, but you can book a table for 8 for just £120 which will include dinner (and entry to a prize raffle).
Syrian refugees are planning to say a big thank-you to Coventry for allowing them to start a new life in the city, by staging a stylish charity dinner.
The highlight of the evening will of course be the food – a specially drawn-up Syrian menu, prepared by a professional Syrian chef who has worked in his home country and the Middle East – but there will also be fun activities like a guess-the-spice competition and an auction, which will aim to raise money for charity.
During the evening there will also be an opportunity for guests to ask an expert panel about their experience, and resettlement in the UK.
The evening is also aimed at raising money for the CRMC’s destitution fund which helps some of the neediest people in our city.
CRMC Director Sabir Zazai said: “The evening will be a coming together of Coventrians and some of the most recent newcomers to the city. Everyone will have a wonderful meal, hopefully find out something about each other’s cultures, and raise money for the destitution fund. Make sure you don’t miss it!”
A rich selection of dishes will be available, including vegetarian options. There are only 150 places, so the advice is to book early.
