Event description

Description

Becoming a parent can be tough, and some parents struggle to cope. In these situations, we need to act early to support parent-infant mental health and promote secure, responsive relationships - so that children get the best possible start in life.

In Coventry and Warwickshire 1 in 5 mums and 1 in 10 dads experience mental health issues during the 1001 Critical Days (from conception to 2 years of age).

Exciting work is underway, both nationally and locally, to strengthen mental health and wellbeing support for parents and infants during this crucial period.

This stimulating conference will provide you with up-to-date knowledge on this priority area; brief you on what is happening in Coventry & Warwickshire and the progress made over the last year. The agenda includes a number of national expert speakers and workshops. Spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis, so please register ASAP.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

This event is organised by Coventry & Warwickshire Parent-Infant Mental Health and Wellbeing Executive Steering Group, which is part of the STP Better Health, Better Care, Better Value programme.
