Event description
Join UCL Americas academic staff for this roundtable to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Americas.

About this Event

The COVID crisis in the US has raised questions about presidential leadership and the federal system. What will the role of the United States be in the post-pandemic world? What factors explain why different countries in the Americas have adopted such different responses to the COVID-19 pandemic? Will the COVID-19 epidemic bring an end to globalisation? We are hoping these and other pressing issues will become clearer over the roundtable discussion we have organised for our UG and PGT candidates.

Speakers:Dr Paulo Drinot - Associate Professor of Latin American History

Professor Maxine Molyneux - Professor of Sociology

Professor Iwan Morgan - Professor of United States Studies

Chair:Dr Malu Gatto - Assistant Professor of Latin American Politics
