COVID-19: Sport, Health and Exercise During Social Isolation

COVID-19 has posed enormous challenges for the health and well-being of the nation. In this discussion staff from ARU’s department of Sport and Exercise Sciences will debate the ramification upon both physical and mental well-being. Themes that will be addressed will relate to the impact of social isolation upon physical and mental fitness and how online training forums have emerged to help foster these key attributes.

Dr Gordon is an exercise physiologist with a passion and interest in the factors which limit human athletic performance. Dr Gordon has experience of supporting athletes in a vast array of sports including track and field, cycling, football and rugby. He's also represented Great Britain in three sports, is a Paralympian and a World Record holder.
