We may not have a crystal ball, but we do have the benefit of rear-view mirrors and can learn much from the Credit Crunch as to how the current financial crisis will impact on Scots in the months and years to come.

This Zoom Webinar will examine what are the likely financial impacts of the current Covid 19 Crisis and what steps have already been taken to mitigate the worse effect on consumers.

It will examine the steps that have been taken by the UK and Scottish Government and the Financial Conduct Authority and consider what further steps may have to be taken in the weeks and months ahead to help people struggling with Debt.


The Webinar will be useful for those who work in the Independent Advice Sector, the Legal Profession and the Insolvency Industry and who regularly assist client who are struggling with issues of personal Finance.

It will also be beneficial for those who will be involved in strategically developing policy and services in the coming period in relation to providing an appropriate response to the current Covid 19 Crisis.


Alan McIntosh is a Senior Money Adviser for a Scottish Local Authority and has worked in various roles in the Money Advice and Personal Insolvency Industry over the last two decades.

He is a LLB( (Hons) graduate from the University of Aberdeen and is a regular contributor to various professional journals, including the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland.
