The Director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) will outline the prospects for the UK and world economy in light of the Covid-19 crisis. The analysis will be suitable for all students and academic staff interested in understanding the scale of the economic crisis we face.


NIESR was established in 1938 and is the country’s pre-eminent independent academic research institute normally working out of its Westminster offices but currently in virtual space. The Institute’s May 2020 Review was published by Cambridge University Press on 29th April.
