Einar Jenssen & Sue Cowan-Jenssen examine the trauma and recover related to the impact of Covid on therapeutic work.

About this Event

In this workshop, Einar Jenssen & Sue Cowan-Jenssen will explore

  • Definition and understanding of trauma
  • Trauma and the defence system (polyvagal theory)
  • Trauma and Attachment
  • Importance of attunement and empathy in the healing of trauma

and will also include vignettes from recent work with COVID, looking at it from a relational as well as a trauma perspective.

Einar Jenssen Cand.Mag is a UKCP registered integrative psychotherapist with a background in psychoanalytic psychotherapy as well as CBT. He is an EMDR Europe accredited consultant and facilitator who has worked in private practice for over 30 years.

Sue Cowan-Jenssen BA hons, DipA.Th is a UKCP registered integrative psychotherapist who works both in private practice and for five years was a trauma therapist at Watford General Hospital. She is a registered EMDR Europe accredited consultant, specialising in post-traumatic stress. She has trained at The Tavistock Clinic in working with the dying and bereaved.
