Middlesbrough Coworking Days are held at the LaunchPad space at the University of Teesside’s Victoria Building and are hosted by our Associate Rebecca Hodgson who is a Middlesbrough-based Freelance Trainer.
The Victoria Building was originally built in 1891 as a school house and is now a listed building that houses Teesside University’s graduate entrepreneurs in incubation units to help them to set up a successful business for the first year, in the hope that this will enable them to access the support and facilities they need to make a success of their first year in business.
We set up our pop-up office for the day’s coworking in the boardroom in the Victoria Building which has comfy tables and chairs and WiFi on tap.
You can park on Victoria Road for £3.00 per day, and if you arrive after 9 you can use the Centre for Enterprise car park which is right opposite the entrance to the Victoria Building.
You’ll have the opportunity to chat over coffee (or the desk!) with your new-found colleagues for the day. After a delicious lunch (all inclusive) you’ll then have the option to attend a graduate business presentation, giving you the opportunity to share experiences, pick up ideas and new skills, and make new connections which can help you to drive forward your business. Then you can get back to work or continue to chat to your Coworkers – it’s up to you.
