Doors open at 6:45PM, the film will begin at 7:00PM and runs for approximately 90 minutes.
A must-see film for every environmentalist. This thought provoking and humourous documentary explores the devastating environmental damage caused by animal agriculture, in particular the cattle industry.
Cowspiracy explores the issues of deforestation, water pollution, soil degradation, loss of biodiversity and massive greehouse gas emissions. Through numerous interviews it also highlights how many environmental organisations have overlooked animal agriculture in their policies.
Unlike so many documentaries that highlight a problem, Cowspiracy also explores the solutions.
"A rare gem in environmental film – it poses questions and actually answers them……a masterclass in documentary film making. Deft pacing, a dry sense of humour and a self-effacing protagonist make it eminently watchable. There’s an engaging simplicity to the narrative and data presentation which is supported by simple but beautiful cinematography".
Nick Figgis, The London Economic
"This is a major movie event, a real eye opener, documenting why animal agriculture is the #1 contributor to greenhouse gases."
"This ….. documentary packs one hell of a punch. It aims to be a sort of follow up to "An Inconvenient Truth". But in some ways this is arguably an even more powerful film…. Like all the best 'issue' documentaries, this will likely leave you examining your own lifestyle choices in a new light."
Please note - this event is not for profit:
The nominal ticket price is to cover the cost of the film licence, food is free and provides an introduction to tasty, quick and easy meat-free recipes.
