What does the seminar look like?

The seminar will give every student an opportunity to present his or her thesis briefly. Depending on the number of participants, each person will have 5-10 minutes to dicuss their project with the group and receive feedback. There is also room for socializating and networking. We are a friendly bunch.

What should I prepare for the event?

In ordert to present your thesis, you can write up a presentation of about 2-3 pages that should last about 5 minutes. You can also use PowerPoint. If you prefer to speak without notes, that is fine. Suit your own style.

What can I bring into the event?

You can bring a written document to read with information about your thesis or send a Powerpoint file before the seminar to Dr. Wolfgang Vondey. You should bring a good amount of laughter and excitement.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The main form of transportation is a train service from University station to Birmingham New Stree station (2 stops).

Where will the dinner be held?

Dinner will be at the Big Wok restaurant that offers a variety of foods at a restaurant near the hotel where you stay. 5 Wrottesley St, Birmingham B5 4RT.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
