Description

Register Your Attendance for the CPD conference for those who support young people in care, care leavers, those estranged from their family and young carers. This event is run by Hepp in partnership with The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. This is aimed at people working with young people in care, care leavers, those estranged from their family and young carers.

The conference will take place at The University of Sheffield on Friday 28th June 2019 from 9.00am- 3.15pm.

We are delighted to welcome keynote speaker Dr Katie Ellis, Leverhulme Early Career Fellow. Her current fellowship research focuses on the experiences of young people who successfully transitioned from being ‘in care’ to attend university.

We hope that you can join us to hear about the work that happens at both Universities; the support offered for young people you work with, and for undergraduate and postgraduate students; hear from current university students who are care experienced, estranged or have caring responsibilities, and join us for lunch and networking opportunities to connect and share good practice.

To register your attendance at the event, please use this link. Please pass on to colleagues who may be interested in attending. To help with planning, please book one ticket per person attending by no later than Monday 10th June.

We hope to see you in June. Further event details will be sent out in due course. If you have any further questions, please contact: Kelly Self, Project Coordinator at Higher Education Progression Partnership (Hepp): k.self@shu.ac.uk
