Event description

Description

Our Counselling CPD – Suicide Prevention workshop, delivered in London, is a highly interactive course to help build your counselling skills when dealing with clients considering suicide.

‘Are you saying you want to die?’ – This is a question no one ever wants to ask, however, it is important that this is sensitively explored. This workshop will show you how.

Counsellors may recognise that a client is thinking about suicide, but how do you open up that conversation? It can be quite challenging to work with clients who present with suicidal ideation or suicidal planning. This one-day interactive workshop will allow you to experience difficult situations with clients with suicidal thoughts or plans.

Using a professional actor to simulate the counselling process, you will meet Maggie and follow her journey through the three distinct phases in the counselling session, tackling this difficult issue. In this safe environment, you will explore ways of asking the question; “are you saying you want to die?”.

Join us for this unique training opportunity.

Our CPD workshops are incredibly popular and spaces are strictly limited. Please book now to secure your place.

The price includes:

Highly qualified trainer and counsellor
CPD certificate providing evidence of course content and CPD hours
A unique days training with a professional actor bringing the workshop to life throughout the day
