About the session

Within the context of promoting and protecting student wellbeing and particularly resilience, this short interactive workshop session will introduce the key features of a powerful mind management model that can be used to help individuals improve their performance and learn about to cope with the challenges of University as well as Workplace expectations.

Who is it for?

The session will be useful for academic advisors, module teams and Student Support officers in their interactions with, and support of students who are meeting the emotional challenge of assessment deadlines and post assessment feedback. The session will explain and encourage a discussion and application of the model.

The model presented offers a simple, evidence based, highly accessible and easy to understand approach to dealing with adverse situations. It is particularly useful for everyday as well as higher stress situations and can open the door to beginning to understanding our human responses to every day, as well as one-off, irritations, frustrations and challenges.
