CPD - Striking and Fielding (Primary)

This CPD Striking and Fielding (Primary) event will take place on Wednesday 3rd June 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Auckley Primary School in Doncaster. The session is priced at £30 per person and will be hosted by Patrick Stothard, Sports Development Officer and School Games Organiser for Doncaster.

The PE Striking and Fielding course is designed to support teachers in delivering dynamic and inclusive lessons focused on games such as rounders, cricket, and softball. This course covers the fundamental skills of striking, catching, throwing, and fielding, along with key tactical concepts like positioning, decision-making, and teamwork.

Teachers will explore progressive teaching approaches, differentiation strategies, and ways to adapt activities for all ability levels. The course also emphasises safety, engagement, and the development of physical literacy.

By the end of the training, educators will feel confident planning and delivering high-quality striking and fielding lessons that promote active participation, skill development, and enjoyment for all pupils.
