CPD - Target Games (Primary)

This CPD - Target Games (Primary) session will take place on Wednesday 7th January 2026, from 13:00 to 15:00 at Auckley Primary School in Doncaster. This professional development session will be delivered by Adam Burgin, Senior Sports Coach, and is designed specifically for primary educators.

The Target Games course is designed to support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that develop precision, control, and strategic thinking through a variety of target-based activities.

This course introduces educators to key concepts and skills such as aim, accuracy, force, and spatial awareness, using equipment like beanbags, hoops, balls, and markers. Teachers will explore progressive activities suitable for all ages and abilities, as well as ways to adapt games to ensure full participation and challenge for every pupil.

By the end of the course, participants will be confident in planning and delivering purposeful target games lessons that build fundamental movement skills and support teamwork and fair play.
