Continuing Professional Development is a term that we're all familiar with. Most of us have to "do CPD" for our employer or professional body. As a member of the CQI you are expected to undertake CPD activities, Chartered Quality Professionals are obliged to do so and to record it in a learning and development plan.
But what is CPD, and why does it matter? Why is the CQI placing a renewed emphasis on CPD? And what exactly are CQI members expected to do?
At the next East of Scotland branch event, CQI Professional Networks Manager, Alexander Woods (PCQI), will address these questions and describe the CQI's CPD strategy and requirements, and the support and guideance the Institute will provide.
The session will be interactive, giving you an opportunity to feedback on the approach the CQI has adopted, and to contribute to your local branch in supporting CQI members in preparing and achieving their development objectives.
