Our purpose is to make sure people receive safe and effective care, and to help providers improve.

But to deliver that well we need absolute clarity on CQC’s purpose, consensus around the values and behaviours you should expect from a regulator and the right principles that underpin a successful regulatory approach. In essence a new collective vision for what good quality regulation looks and feels like.

We also know that providers and other partners want us to work with consistency, to be treated with respect, and for our teams to understand the services we regulate in depth.

To support this improvement work, we’re running a series of regional roadshows.
