CQI Thames Valley - The Brexit Challenge to the UK's Quality Professionals
Thu 20 April 2017, 19:00 – 22:00 BST
As the UK begins the Brexit process, the prime minister has mapped out a bold vision to ensure the UK steps up to a new leadership role “as the strongest, most forceful advocate for free markets and free trade anywhere in the world”.
With our trading doors open to the rest of the world, Adeyemi looks at this repositioning as being consisted of 3 categories of markets; the first world, the BRIC Countries and the third world. In an article in the April edition of Quality World, the CQI’s magazine, he explains the challenges these 3 markets will pose namely productivity competition, innovation and quality infrastructure support and deployment respectively.
In this session, he goes one step further in describing what these challenges are and the opportunities they create when considering the role quality professionals can play in addressing them. He also proffers some solutions to a potential skills-deficit within the profession that may be exposed by the challenges posed by these new supply chains.
